What I found was that the built-in player in my Toyota car would read Lame MP3, Nero AAC, and FDK AAC files, but not the files encoded by the FhG codec. Recently I read in the forums that it is somewhat outdated and that other AAC codecs are better, so I started looking into the other options, namely the FhG codec taken from Winamp, and the FDK codec. I had been using the Nero AAC codec for years, and did not have any problems. This is a great resource of knowledge-thanks for what you have all shared.
